| The
way I played this is that after sucking the energy out of the star Phil
is a glowing, blazing ball of energy (light) upon returning to Earth.
His light is blinding, the heat terrific; where he steps fire erupts.
It’s reasonable that as Phil himself is the energy source, he wouldn’t
necessarily be aware of his massive light output. It’s only when
Gayle remarks, “Phil, I can’t SEE you!” that he realizes
he’s emitting such blinding radiance. Then he quickly and easily
shuts himself down. |

| Lots of kissy huggy. Even though a love story twines throughout this adventure, we’ve never actually shown Phil and Gayle happy together. Despite their dire circumstances, I wanted to show Phil smiling or laughing and Gayle planting wet ones on him. They’re so happy to be with each other. This brief counterpoint should add more to Gayle’s sudden annihilation just moments later, when . . . | |||||
