As is typical of him, BWS wrote and drew a great deal more material for Weapon X than appeared in the final story. There is the equivalent of more than fifty pages of unused and unfinished story pages and drawings from the series in the artist’s files, including an alternate ending.

In 2006 Marvel approached Windsor-Smith, asking for extra material to include in a forthcoming “definitive” edition of Weapon-X. But when it became clear that Marvel expected to take ownership of BWS’ work and publish it without any compensation to him, Windsor-Smith declined.
